Nathan Mannion
Nathan currently serves as the Head of Exhibitions and Programmes at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum. A frequent contributor to the Irish Times newspaper and Irish Lives Remembered magazine, he also authored ‘The Irish and the World’ published by Scala in 2022.
He is a Heritage Studies graduate of Atlantic Technical University (ATU) where he specialised in Museum Studies and completed an MA in Arts Management and Cultural Policy at the University College Dublin in 2020. Originally from Carlow he has previously worked with the national Heritage Council’s Museum Standards Programme for Ireland and as Deputy Curator of Rothe House Museum & Gardens. He has served on the Irish board of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) since 2018 and was elected Chair in 2024, having formerly served as Secretary and Membership Secretary.
In addition to his work with ICOM he is also the Irish representative on the international Migration Museums Network (MMN) and a member of the Europeana network.
