For over 45 years, International Museum Day has been celebrated on 18 May. For IMD 2025, ICOM has developed a compelling visual identity that reflects the ever-evolving nature of museums. The key visual, inspired by the idea of fluidity and adaptability, features dynamic, free-flowing forms and gradient tones, symbolising transformation and resilience. 

This year's theme, "The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities," aims to highlight the significance of museums in an era of profound social, technological, and environmental shifts, where they are evolving to meet the challenges of today while shaping the possibilities of tomorrow.
