Invitation: Museum Ethics and the Irish Context

ICOM Ireland and the Irish Museums Association (IMA) invite you to join the debate looking at Museum Ethics and the Irish Context.

As ICOM seeks to determine whether a revision of the current Code of Ethics for Museums is necessary, we are interested in your opinion. What is missing from the current Code of Ethics? What is needed to make it an even more powerful tool for today’s museum profession? Are there particularities in the Irish museum sector that should be addressed? How can we help museum professionals apply its values and principles?

This session will be held on Friday 5 March 2020 @9.30am and aims to both inform and be informed by the museum sector, contributing to Ireland’s formal response to this review.
